In 1998, Greg Gunthorp changed his business model to make sure that he wasn't the last Gunthorp to raise pigs. Now in 2018, join us to celebrate 20 years of Gunthorp Farms. This party will be open to the public and admission is free! We will have wagon tours around the farm, activities for kids, a Friends of the Farm Fair, live music, good food, and more!
Bravas & Head2Hock will both have their food trucks at our party! If you like good food, Gunthorp Farms is the place to be on July 28th!

The Farm Tour Dinner
Gunthorp Farms has been a part of the farm to table movement for 20 years now. We believe that the best way to truly cultivate this movement is to create relationships around the food we grow, buy, prepare, and eat. Here at Gunthorp Farms, we have spent a great deal of time creating these relationships with the restaurants and retailers who buy our pork and poultry. Our farm is always open to our customers and many have taken us up on that offer. Chefs like Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill), Tyler Herald (Patachou, Inc.), Josh Katt (Kitchfix), and countless others have brought their staff to our farm for a day to see where and how our animals are raised. They get to spend the day with Greg and the rest of our family, touring the farm, asking questions, and finally, eating good food!
Now, it is your turn! On July 28th, we are offering the Farm Tour Dinner Experience to individuals like you. Ed & Kara Babinec (Greg's daughter & son-in-law) are hosting the dinner in their back yard less than a mile away from the farm, just like they do when our customers come to visit. Greg Gunthorp will have the grill on site roasting a variety of meats. Patachou, Inc. will be preparing some side dishes. Vegetables from Greg's father's garden will also be used for the meal. Drinks and adult beverages (for those 21+) will be provided. Greg Gunthorp and his family are looking forward to discussing local food, farming practices, food policy, and much more over dinner.
A portion of every ticket sale will be donated to both the Patachou Foundation. The Patachou Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to feed wholesome meals to food-insecure school children in the Indianapolis area and teach them to create healthy habits.
This ticketed dinner will be immediately following our 20th Anniversary party (which is free & open to the public).
