We pack & ship orders on Tuesdays every week. Please keep this in mind when placing your order. Since we only ship orders once a week, there may be up to a week delay between placing your order and us shipping your package. You will receive an email with a tracking number when we create your shipping label.
We use ground shipping to send out our packages, so it will arrive to you within 2 days of us dropping it off at UPS. Use your tracking number in your email for reference.
When you place an order, we place a hold for a slightly higher order total on your card. This pending hold is replaced by the correct charge upon successful packing and delivery. This ensures that suppliers can charge accurate weights for products (i.e. 1.09lb or 0.98lb steak vs. 1lb ordered). If you cancel the order or the payment hold is not captured, the authorization is cancelled and the funds are released back. It's very similar to the gas pump!
Orders over $170 earn free shipping. Orders between $50-170 will have a $20 shipping fee. Orders under $50 will have a $30 shipping fee to account for the additional dry ice and packaging costs required to keep the smaller mass of items frozen throughout transit.
Yes! We pack frozen items into a box with insulation and then fill the box with a calcuated amount of dry ice to keep the products frozen until they arrive on your doorstep. When you receive your package, open the box in a well-ventilated area and allow the dry ice to evaporate. Do not touch the dry ice with your bare hands.
Yes you can! Select "pick up" as your delivery method at check out. Once we have packed your order, you will receive an email telling you your order is ready. Since we do not have a designated store front, we ask that you please reply to the "order packed" email & tell us what day you will be there to pick up your order so that we can have it ready for you in our farm pick up freezer!
We feed our animals all non-GMO grains from local farms, but the grains are not certified organic and therefore our animals are not certified organic. We believe in using organic practices when it comes to taking care of our land, our animals, & our meat. Therefore, we do not apply any herbicides or pesticides to our land OR use harsh synthetic chemicals in the processing plant.
In addition to being on certified organic pasture, all of our animals receive a feed mixture that we grind ourselves here on the farm. We grind a mixture of non-GMO corn & soybeans with a vitamins & mineral mix custom made for each species on the farm so that they get everything that they need.
